What You Need to Know About The CyberKnife Treatment Room

Our center goes through several measures to ensure the treatment experience is safe for not only the patient, but for all those involved. One of the most important aspects of patient safety is our treatment room.

As you receive treatment, there are several ways the treatment room provides a safe environment for you while also protecting others from radiation exposure.

• Custom design: The treatment room was custom designed for patients by a medical physicist, who understands all aspects of the CyberKnife treatment to ensure the room meets industry guidelines.

• Concrete walls: The treatment room walls are made of concrete and lead to protect those outside of the room from radiation exposure.

• Visual communication with patients: Our radiation therapist is able to maintain visual communication with you throughout treatment to ensure your comfort and safety. Patients are observed throughout the treatment on closed-circuit television, and they can pause treatment at any time by waving.
