“Veterans & Prostate Cancer: What You Need to Know” Community Event
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 10,000 veterans are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. If you are a veteran, it is important to get your annual PSA screening, which can catch prostate cancer early, and if you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, it is important to know all your treatment options. Annual PSA screenings are covered by insurers, including private payers, Medicare, and the VA at the patient’s request and CyberKnife may be a treatment option for Veteran’s diagnosed with prostate cancer through the “V A Choice Program”. Please join us for a FREE educational event on Thursday, August 30th, at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center to learn more about treating prostate cancer with CyberKnife technology.
