Spotlight On: American Lung Association

The American Lung Association (ALA) is a national organization dedicated to preventing lung disease and improving lung health through education, advocacy and research. The ALA’s mission is “to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.” The organization works to combat tobacco use, improve air quality to prevent lung disease and provide aid to lung cancer patients and their families. The ALA also provides resources for education on lung disease and funding for lung cancer research.

The ALA encourages participation in local chapters through advocacy, donations, volunteering or participating in local events. On June 14, the ALA will host a “Fight For Air Climb” at Silver Legacy Resort in Reno. To register for the event or learn how you can participate, click here.
