Patient Resources: American Brain Tumor Association

May is recognized annually as National Brain Tumor Awareness Month, a time to focus on raising awareness of brain tumors, increasing funding for research and educating the public on symptoms and treatment options.

There are several online resources available focused on providing support to patients with brain tumors or their loved ones. The American Brain Tumor Association is an organization that offers information, research and support for those living with, and caring for individuals with brain tumors.

Working in partnership with the Cancer Support Community, the ABTA has created a helpful resource guide containing information related to understanding brain tumors, treatment options, side effects, quality of life issues and information for caregivers.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, contact us to discuss CyberKnife as a treatment option. Reno CyberKnife’s technology treats brain tumors and metastatic brain lesions with stereotactic radiosurgery.
