New Prostate Cancer Treatment Guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network

Earlier this year, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCC) updated its Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology® to include stereotactic body radiation as a treatment option for prostate cancer.

NCCN is comprised of 23 of the worlds leading cancer organizations. Every year, nearly 950 clinical professionals and researchers from the NCCN member institutions work together to develop and update treatment guidelines for many cancers.

This important update to the 2014 guidelines demonstrates acceptance and support for SBRT by a world-renown coalition of cancer centers.

SBRT for prostate cancer involves five or fewer treatment sessions, minimizing disruption to men’s normal routines and lifestyles. Reno CyberKnife specializes in SBRT using CyberKnife® technology.
