Jaime Shuff, M.D. Speaks at the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians Conference

Jaime Shuff, M.D., radiation oncologist at Reno CyberKnife, recently spoke at the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians winter conference.

Dr. Shuff, who spoke on the third day of the conference, lectured on Cyberknife Treatment Options for Recurring & Metastatic Cancer and her presentation included reviewing the latest cancer treatment options and the use of the Cyberknife® Robotic Radiosurgery System in cancer treatment.

The Nevada Academy of Family Physicians Conference, held January 22-26, 2017 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, was the academy’s annual continuing medical education meeting that helps those that practice family medicine maintain competence and learn about new and developing areas of their field through lectures and hands-on workshops.

The mission of the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians is to promote excellence in health care and the betterment of the health of the citizens of the state of Nevada.  Some of the ways the organization achieves this goal by promoting and maintaining high standards among physicians who practice family medicine, encouraging and assisting men and women in preparing, qualifying, and establishing themselves in family practice, and providing responsible advocacy for education of patients and the public in health related matters.

In addition to Dr. Shuff’s presentation, Reno CyberKnife had a booth at the conference and was proud to take part in the event and support the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians, a society that benefits the residents of our community.
