American Cancer Society 2015 Outlook: Nevada Cancer Statistics

The American Cancer Society has released its annual report highlighting projections and forecasts in the cancer industry regarding estimated numbers of new cases and deaths, cancer incidence, mortality, and survival statistics and other educational information on symptoms, risks, early detection methods and treatment options.

In 2015, there will be an estimated 1,658,370 new cancer cases diagnosed in the U.S. In Nevada, more than 13,600 residents will be diagnosed with cancer this year, according to the Cancer Facts and Figures 2015 report. Of those cases, more than 1,700 are expected to be lung cancer diagnoses and more than 1,600 are predicted to be prostate cancer.
