Katja graduated from Carrington College with her RN credential and also earned the Dean’s Award for the class of 2013. She began her career as a biologist and literature professor and then pursued her passion for science and patient advocacy as an oncology nurse with Saint Mary’s. Katja is an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and ONS/OCNN Radiation Therapy Certified Nurse currently working in the acute oncology unit at the main hospital, outpatient infusion room and, primarily, in outpatient radiation oncology .
In her free time, Katja enjoys trail running, reading, editing memoir and poetry collection, writing, relaxing with her two Great Danes and most of all spending time with her niece and nephew and family.
